@Pivo
The one goat clearly has a leash on. While backpacking in the Sierra Ancha once, I encountered 8 of these animals, 1 giant white dog larger than Blanco, and two leather clad folks living in a teepee.
Their goats looked just like these. These folks said they moved around every month or so and hit all the NF's throughout the year. Each goat carried 50-60 lbs of gear. The guy told me he had just lost two goats in the Supes to lions. This was their transport and re-supply depot. [ photo ]
They were quiet neighbors for two nights and I offered them 2 extra trout I had caught, which they accepted. None of their goats were aggressive, just nosey.

@ALMAL When I was a young man I had dairy goats. Milk, cheese, and even goat butter. The does were always friendly, curious and playful. They would play with the dogs, and wold even try to follow us into the house.

I blame non consensual wildlife handling for this, that goat was probably picked up by crappy humans at a young age...

@ALMAL The Great Pyrenees are used a lot in Colorado to protect sheep. I have hiked in areas that are posted with signs alerting people to keep their distance from the dogs and stock, or risk attack.

Re: Aggressive goats Old Baldy Trail#372
My mom had goats for many years. One of them was allowed in her house every now and then. The others would probably have been more interested in being on top of the house than inside it.
