Another fire on the Tonto. North of Globe, I guess. I think most have lost interest in fires, or atleast about this area.

SRP says it has a transmission line out of service, so there is that. I keep my A/C at 84 in the day 81 at night, so I'm good.

Re: Salt Fire
When I graduated from Az State back in 2000 I moved to the Bay Area for a few years right when California was having the rolling blackouts partially due to the Enron scandal and Cal ISO debacle. The only thing that kept the power on at my place was that I had unwittingly moved to Santa Clara, which was one of the only cities in Nor Cal that had its own public utility and did not contract with PG&E. Never experienced a blackout and the power was cheaper!wrote: I would have never thought that nearly 20 years later I would be living in a developed nation that is now turning to rolling blackouts to meet the energy needs of its people...

@SuperstitionGuy
I bought the Beast in January 2014 for $5,000. And I sold it for $3,500 in June of this year. And had an offer of $4,000 while I was in the middle of selling it for $3,500. So it didn't depreciate that much in 6 1/2 years. I paid $10,000 for the newer one which actually looks just about as nice as a lot of them that cost $250,000. So I consider myself fortunate. And it's very comfortable.

Re: Salt Fire
Well the nearby Griffin fire is over 60K acres and merged with the Champion fire (?) with parts of Hwy 60 closed over from Hwy 70 junction. Also now the Medler Fire ( may have misspelled that) over on Cherry Creek with concerns in the Rockhouse area, Dagger ranch and Coon Creek ranch areas. It's small right now and in the grass but we will see how that goes with resources so thin right now.
