Hiking vehicles
What kind of vehicles do you guys all drive when your going hiking? Im thinking about investing in a 4wd high clearance Jeep or something of the sort so I could get to some places where I definitely couldnt get to with what Im driving now (73 mustang):) I saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee today for $2600 and I was thinking about checking it out. What "hiking vehicle" is easiest to drive and which gets the best gas mileage (even though I know most wouldnt be too fuel efficient.)

Re: Hiking vehicles
Well my tan 2014 FJ went away and now I have a tan 2014 FJ. The difference is the one in the garage now is an automatic, lifted and has less than 30K miles, Ca vehicle with a clean Carfax. Apparently someones spare that never was driven very much, looks well cared for with some nice quality aftermarket on it. Gonna have fun with the auto insurance tomorrow " yes take off the 2014 tan FJ and here is another one; oh, never mind just change the vin number. "

Re: Hiking vehicles
Your wish is my command. BFG K02 10 plys. The vehicles could have been twins, this one is one tier above the one I had. Upgraded sound system, and the person went with a black theme on the accents so looks pretty cool with the tan. Bilstein shocks and looks like Daystar spacers; not my favorite but has a nice leveled look rather than the slightly nose down profile.

Re: Hiking vehicles
I think they have bigger issues than the water damage, did you notice that the recovery was going well until the frame snapped?

Re: Hiking vehicles
I don't think the frame snapped. The driver's side rear axle was pulled out of the rear differential. Unsure what happened in the front.nonot wrote:was going well until the frame snapped?

Barrett Jackson 2021 a 2014 FJ cruiser TT edition with mods and 52K miles sold for 88K. Mine just turned over 24K miles and I didn't pay anywhere near that. Of course I had a high dollar trade in

Re: Hiking vehicles
Wow, that's a hefty price! Maybe they'd be interested in handling the sale of my 2010 Outback with a gentle 220k miles in classic Sage Green. It wasn't for sale a few minutes ago, but I'd be willing to part with it for $50k.RedRoxx44 wrote:Barrett Jackson 2021 a 2014 FJ cruiser TT edition with mods and 52K miles sold for 88K.

I would put that tracked vehicle in the front yard with plants all over it just to piss the HOA off.
