FR 1900 Late April 2002
Ooops... I almost forgot to post!
0.6 miles after turning onto FS 172, FR1900 spurs off to the left
I went in about 3.4 miles and hiked a little more then off spured off FR1900 as mentioned in 'Quail Spring to Eagle Spring' Hike Summary.
I can't imagine driving through the first major creek crossing and there's some major problems after that. However, it had been recently and looked frequently traveled... by what I can't imagine unless it had a Caterpillar logo on the front.
It's a great area!!! But kind of rattled my nerves coming out. You won't be taking your new shinny SUV in here and come out without a scratch. It's was necessary to hug the edge in one section to avoid a washout.
