FR 650, Tonto National Forest
Forest Road 650, North From Forest Road 8 (located west of Superior) was under repair (road grader, dozer and shovel) by the folks from the Tonto National Forest on 4/30. I was able to travel as far (due to road work) as the junction of forest road 1101. I took 1101 to the site of Barnent Camp in my jeep wrangler, but is turned into quad (atc) country. The portion of forest road 650 repaired was suitable for high clearance. Happy Camp Spring had a surprizing good flow.

It's been almost 10 years since I"ve driven 650 "up" through Happy Camp Canyon to 342. I recall 342 being fun, seemed 650 was no big deal. Can anyone confirm or deny if it's really 4wd up to 342?

Its 2wd high clearance doable. Rough in spots and a couple wash crossing
