Willow Valley on short notice~!

Post by joebartels »

Okay, joe's Willow Valley summary has the adrenaline on the rise again.

Sorry for the short notice, but I want to get this one done asap while it's still doable. My buddy is still in Iraq & I don't think I should be doing this route alone.

Anybody able & seriously interested for an early departure this Thursday send me a PM. If not I'll be forced to piddle around in the supes again :D

Don't worry I haven't forgotten, but I sure would squeeze both in if I could.

you know what somebody once told me in the past

"if you had an ounce of man in you, you'd take the day off and do it"

...so I asked around, ended up paying a guy over a hundred to work my shift. Came home all excited. Emailed, no response. Later only to find out they went a day early.

I don't know what the moral of the story is... but I think you should come along! :)

I'd do this one again with you Joe, but I have to work Thursday. Plus I'm getting married this Saturday :D . We've been planning this for over a year now, and can't wait!
We're doing Arizona for our honeymoon, rafting the Colorado in Grand Canyon, Canyon De Chelly, four days in Paria Canyon, then if time, Las Vegas to watch Blue Man again. 8)
Willow Valley is a great hike, we had a blast. Anyone even slightly interested in a canyoneering day hike should go with Joe, the weather up there is starting to cool off so you don't have long before you have to wait until it warms up again next year.

Aaron I'm shooting for leaving around 4:30am from the mid valley. It's an all day affair with driving, probably home before 7pm. I have to be to work by 3:30am Fri morning so I'll be back one way or another.

Joe, If you see a green jeep with no top and towing a trailer heading south on 87 towards Payson early thursday that would be me. I will be moving to another location to camp with some friends for the weekend. Have a great time.
