Globe / Miami Flooding

Everything I'm seeing and reading, they need people with shovels to show up and help dig out the destroyed parts of Globe and Miami, but plan on sleeping in your car. There is nowhere for you to get a room. La Casita Mexican Restaurant is a total loss.

I heard the LDS Church is sending a crew of 800.

@azbackpackr I wouldn't rely on social media posts for such things. The city is hosting a press conference at 4pm that will address the situation and next steps, including how people can assist.

Although a small mining history town one thing they have going for them is the mine. Those guys have the heavy equipment. Unless the roads under the water is undermined the most I saw was river cobble with could be pretty easily removed even with a tire or log drag from a pickup truck. Small propane tanks were everywhere and because of the hazmat nature that will take some time and hopefully without incident. The mud in areas of the washes and on the hill sides is epic in places and again, the mine should be able to help with earth moving and contouring.
