Post by kajjer »

I would like to thank everyone associated with this site. I just got back from my vacaction in wonderful Arizona. I hiked 7 days in a row.
Camelback-Cholla Trail, Reavis Falls, Wind Cave, Peralta, Horton Creek, N. Wilson Mt., & Grand Canyon, down S. Kaibab, up Bright Angel.
Thanks again, Kevin

In response to joe bartels' reply:

I'll add my thanks, too, Joe. This site is a fantastic resource and it supports a great community. Someday I'll do my part and post some trips.

Wow Kevin,

Sounds like one heck of a vacation in our beautiful state. You got to see and experience a little bit of everything! That's what it's all about.

seriously

seriously Joe--this is the best hiking site on the web. i have a very short attention span and i lose interest quickly...but i have remained here..it's like a friend who always has a couch available if i want to flop.

why does this site rule most triumphantly? because unlike everyone else on the freakin' internet that develops something cool, finds their niche and develops a fan base--you didn't sell out.

no pop-ups, no cookie jihad, no subscription fee.

your my beacon of hope in an ocean of data mining filth.

seriously--thank you. your site is an example of what an internet community should, and can be. i think that everyone should write Joe a check at the end of the year and mail it to Joe as a "thank you." (Can you help me write that off?)

seriously (i had to say it again...like beetlejuice).

HAZ is the greatest!

Two winter-dazed Canadians just finished our first trip to beautiful Arizona. 11 days of glorious scenery, fantasic people and (yikes!) sunny HOT weather. I guess we lucked out and hit a heat wave (week of May 21), but it really only added to the experience. We did Tucson (Bear Canyon, Hutch's Pool, Mt. Lemmon), Phoenix (Peralta, Flatiron) and Sedona's beautiful red rocks.

Just wanted to thank the people who work hard to keep this great site going, and to all the contributors, for providing us with accurate and FUN information. Your information enabled us to see more and learn more on this trip. Keep up the great work everyone!
