I'm planning a backpacking trip up to Bassett Peak in the
Galiuro Wilderness. Has anyone been there recently and is there access to water in any of the creek beds or springs. Thanks for all replys.

There is no water at the TH. The first tank you encounter less than a mile in is dry. There is water going up canyon on a spur trail to your left near a deer stand in a tank, you will see some black plastic pipe off and on along the trail. You are less than a couple of miles in tho.
Upper Ash Spring where the Aspen stand is has water. Walk up the drainage less than 50 feet and lift the cover off a leaf covered tank. Water was a bit stagnant looking with some leaf litter so you will likely have to strain it before filtering; or let it settle. That will be your last water. The rest of the route up to Bassett and on top is dry. It is only 6 miles to the peak, so you could dry camp it easily.
Will be cold up there, plan accordingly. Lows near Willcox have been near freezing.
