Yosemite

Post by fricknaley »

If anyone is interested I posted a few pictures from my hiking trip to the Valley in Yosemite National Park, including Half Dome. Man, this place rocks. I cannot recommend it enough. I already cannot wait to go back.

Next up is Mt. Whitney in August (I hope) [-o<

you could put it in your personal gallery for everyone to see

I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear. The photos are in my personal gallery so you should be able to check them out. They are under a Yosemite gallery. Enjoy

Nice stuff! I love Yosemite. Growing up in the Bay Area, we'd go to Yosemite at least once a year (around Christmas), when they tourist flow was low, and the valley was wreathed in snow. I've done a wee bit of bouldering near the base of Yosemite Falls (who hasn't?), but its been a couple years since I've been back. I'm flying out for my niece's birth at the end of next month - maybe I'll get a chance then get back out there. What an amazing place.
I've always wanted to do Half Dome.

Yosemite is SWEET!

Personally I prefer Tuolumme Meadows to the Valley. Less people!

The Valley is pretty cool though and the Half Dome hike is a must do. That pic of Yosemite Falls from the top brings back great memories. I hiked up there from Camp 4 the morning of my last day there. I didn't tell my friends or girlfriend. When I came down, they were gone and there were other people in our campsite! I found them climbing the Cookie Cliffs near camp for, mad at me for not helping break camp. Apparently we had to be out of our site by 10 am or something. I felt bad, but it was definitely worth it.

Thanks guys

I agree with you Matt. The Valley is too crowded but I totally had to get these hikes in. Half Dome was spectacular. As you noted I also climbed Upper Yosemite Falls out of Camp 4...it rocked. I want to do a separate Tuolumne Meadows trip too. That side of the park looks sweet. =P~
