i'm looking for a very short (2mi RT), very pretty hike near Sedona to use for a wedding. the really good stuff is generally a lot longer, especially if you want to avoid people, and most of my family isn't in very good shape. something with canyons, ruins, maybe some water. . . you know, everything!
also, i saw something about a "no name canyon" near Sedona on trails.com, but couldn't get any more info without surrendering my credit card. does anyone know this trail?
any help would be appreciated. thx.

Hi Diver,
Never surrender fifty bucks for all that nagging advertising, spam, non personal bore etc
My initial guess would be Lost Canyon

I just overlooked all the Sedona hikes and nothing pops out as a good low key "everything" hike. Red Rock Crossing is likely your best bet.
Most of the hikes aren't busy during the week.

In response to Diver's reply:
Check out the USFS's Crescent Moon cabin (really a whole house).
If it's available, and it's within your budget, it would make a terrific location.
Just a 3 minute walk down the hill behind the cabin will put you at the base of Cathedral Rock, one of the most-photographed buttes in Sedona.

Re: wedding hike
Boynton canyon behind the Enchantment Resort is amazing. I had friends get married back there and it was very accessable for all their guests.Diver wrote:i'm looking for a very short (2mi RT), very pretty hike near Sedona to use for a wedding. the really good stuff is generally a lot longer, especially if you want to avoid people, and most of my family isn't in very good shape. something with canyons, ruins, maybe some water. . . you know, everything!
