Mazatzal Summit via Barnhardt?

Im looking forward to finally reaching Mazatzal Peak this coming weekend and I need to know by those of you who have done this if it is best to reach the summit from the Barnhardt trail- or should I chose another?
I understand there is no real route to the top, I'll make my own, but from your experience what is the best way to get there?

Lurking for info to stay on the shady side. Thanks!

I'll most likely be making an overnight out of this, with a camp near Sandy Saddle or something... so all are invited. 4/28-29

Wish I could go, but I'm taking it easy this weekend. Gotta get those pesky tendons healed up. They still hurt.

I am curious how this hike went for you. I just read your post and recently did this hike and found it to be very not what I had planned.
