I was there a few weeks ago. There was plenty of water in the creek near the ranch. I even spoke to a friend who said that water was running at Angel Basin. I'm wondering if still is? Mary

Just wondering... Did you get out to Reavis? I was thinking of heading out that way in the next few weeks... my brother moved down from Montana and he wants to hit the wilderness... is it swimmable?

I don't think Reavis would be swimmable. You could play in the water a bit but thats about it!

I was at Reevis this weekend, the 14th and 15th. The water was just over ankle deep in most of Reevis Creek. I do not think you could swim at Reevis Ranch.
You could swim in Rogers Canyon.
There were some 3 to 4 feet deep pools down Rogers Canyon, where it meets fish Canyon (just before Frog Springs),
The bugs were really thick.
On a side note when did the forest service remove all of the buildings and farm machines from Reevis Ranch?
Thanks

According to "Hiker's Guide to the Superstition Wilderness", the stone walls of the ranch house were removed in January 1994, having been damaged by fire in November 1991. It has a picture of taken in November 1993 that shows the walls more or less intact, but the roof and windows gone.
As of two years ago, there were still a few implements to be found scattered about.
