When I posted the list of the 20 most popular hikes on HAZ, some Tucson folks may have felt a little left out. So here are the 20 most popular Tucson hikes on HAZ from your triplogs, photos and rankings. These are not necessarily the 20 most popular hikes but rather the 20 most popular with HAZ members – who record their trips and post photos. I think that some of our excellent photographers may be tipping the polls for their favorite hikes. The number of photos can increase a hike’s rank.

Rank shows the rank among all hikes on HAZ.

Thanks Al. At first glance I like this list quite a bit. Even on this list of most popular Tucson hikes, you will find that with a few logical exceptions or close to the trailheads some of these 'popular' hikes are still not that heavily traveled on any given day.

I can even now say I've done most of these, though there are a couple (3) that still elude me...until I get a truck :twisted:

I only got two of these.

Is Wrightson still doable? I cancelled a trip (I think it was two years ago) because of fire.

Oh yeah, Wrightson is still totally doable.

Old Baldy trail did not get that much damage, mostly a short section above the baldy saddle to the summit. For this hike the vast majority of the damage was/is along the backside on the Super Trail.

Wow, I think there's a definite disparity between where HAZ hikers go and the general public, down here...Which is probably a good thing

Hunter, Seven Falls, Butterfly, and Tanque Verde Falls all get hit hard - those are dead-on.

The first 1 to 2 miles of Pima, Finger, and Ventana see more traffic (read: Abuse) than I could put a figure to; as do King and Golden Gate in the Tucsons. When the students are here I'm absolutely certain that Pima to the first stream crossing sees as much foot traffic a week as Seven Falls. Ventana is popular with the crowd on DMAFB, too.

The Cactus Forest trails and the first couple miles of Douglas Spring in the Rincons see a ton of traffic.

Here's one I bet everyone forgot: Sentinel Peak ('A' mountain); it has a devoted following and it's popular with newcomers and students. The destination usually seems to be Tumamoc, of course...

I'd be interested to see what some of the other Tucsonans have to say, as well. I might be forgetting something... ;)
