Canyon Lake to Peralta can be done in a day, but you could make it as long as you want and take your time. The Supes are starting to come into season.

There is likely water in LaBarge creek along Boulder Canyon since there was quite a bit upstream.

The trail through Boulder Canyon can be difficult to find in places and the exit where Boulder meets the Dutchman is likely to be missed. The rest are probably in a little better shape.

I'd leave it at home and pack your own food. In the Supes, you'd end up spending all of your time hunting and none hiking. It'd be way too hard to hunt out there.

Do you plan on killing the rabbits with slingshots? That would be sweet.

Have you ever killed a rabbit, skinned, gutted, cooked and ate it? Just navigating through the superstitions and finding enough good water to drink may be difficult enough for your first trip. In fact why don't you just day hike some of the trails first to familiar yourselves with the superstitions and the conditions that you will have to deal with out there.

Valid point, no need to hurry. They certainly aren't going anywhere.
