Im guessing Sunrise will open Saturday because they usually get a lil more snow than az snowbowl and because they have snowmaking. Than Az snowbowl i predict will open Monday to get everything ready open over the weekend than monday will be ready. Mount Lemmon and Elk ridge will most likely open also.

80% chance today and 90% chance this evening in Phoenix. Still haven't seen a drop, barely a drizzle since March. Jim down the street a few miles got some a month or so ago but notta drop in this hood. Which is fine... I'd rather the Superstitions get POUNDED!

Nothing here yet. Chilly, breezy, sun with some clouds. Temp has dropped since early a.m., I think.

This weather prompted my husband to go sign us up for the gym located at the hospital. It is very cheap--$30 per couple, no contract. I teased him about becoming a gym rat. I went there this morning before work, for the first time. Not really my cup of tea, but I can get some benefit from it. I have no upper body strength any more--maybe can get it back somewhat.

Page is dry as a bone, as usual. The outlying areas (Inscription House, Kaibeto, etc.) have been getting snow all day, so much so that we're having a delayed start at school tomorrow. But poor Page, atop Manson Mesa, withers still.

I drove up to Snowbowl in a friends truck just before 5pm. I don't know if they are getting more now, but they didn't have much and what they did have was powdery, smaller, thinner, windblown, and no where near enough to open any time soon. Flag is getting it, but not the bowl.

I cut my Christmas Tree today up on the Rim. Rain in Payson, changed over at the Christopher Creek turnoff, and was solid snow at Colcord Rd just before the last climb. Cause I didn't want to be stranded in a blizzard, I was up there mostly early, around 11am. There was about 3-4 inches on the rim at that point. We spent about 2-3 hours enjoying the weather (uh, whiteout) and finding our trees until we decided to head out. About 8" on the trip out, which lines up pretty good with the Promontory Snowtel site reporting station. (17" at 7pm, was 2" before the storm). Actually saw 2 vehicles on the Rim Road during the entire trip, which surprised me. (Who else besides me goes driving on the Rim on a Monday during a NWS "Blizzard Warning"?)

Just woke up to a call from the school saying school is canceled today due to the weather. No snow here but it must have been intense out in Inscription House and Kaibeto. Just got on ADOT, looks like roads are treacherous all around the rez. They list I-17 as impassable between Verde Valley and Flag. I-40 is impassable at Kingman, and apparently almost unusable from there to Winslow. SR87 at Winslow is impassible. 260 impassible at Payson. 93 impassible at Kingman. WOW!
