A few of us will be doing a quick one-way down First Water Creek tomorrow, starting about 8:30-ish.
A few of us are meeting at the south end of Home Depot's parking lot, US-60 & Power @ 8; you may meet us there if you like. We'll start at the horse lot near First Water T/h and hike the creekbed down to where the Canyon Lake backwater impedes progress. You will get your feet (at LEAST) wet on this hike (heavens-to-Betsy).
We'll then exit up onto the Apache Trail where we'll have stashed a shuttle vehicle. If you need to call me, I'm @ six oh too three three nine eight seven eight zero.

Re: First Water Creek - Saturday, January 22nd
I'd love to, especially since Tortilla Flat is handy for some "rehydration" but unfortunately have other commitments. Still, keep me in mind, as this the sort of hikes I am looking to do (for now), 7-9 miles, not too much AEG, knock it out quick. Especially since our hike club at work appears to be doing the dying cockroach ...
