We are planning a 4 day- 3 night hike the last week in March. Our hope is:
Rogers Trough to Reavis Ranch
across Frog Tanks Trail
down JT to Randolph Canyon
across Coffee Flats to Peralta
Does this sound do-able? (Three Alaskan women - ages 35-55 - pretty fit after a winter of skiing and biking - but not used to dryness and heat)
Can we camp at the Roger's Trough trailhead to get an early start? (this isn't included in the 3 nights)
Is 8-10 miles a day reasonable?
Any recent water reports for Randolph and Dripping Springs and Reeds Water?
Love this site, and all of the in depth information! Thanks so much.

Re: Route suggestions: Reavis to Peralta
Sounds reasonable. We did a different version starting at Tule in late Nov 2010. Yours is more practical and scenic from Rogers. I don't think you'll have water issues. It just rained a little yesterday. I'd still load up at Randolph with enough to make it to Peralta just to be safe. Surprisingly very little catclaw too.
