Hidden Valley on Sunday 2/12

Hey folks! I know some people are interested in getting down into Hidden Valley before it warms up. Meet at Peralta TH at 6am and access Hidden Valley via the old Ely Anderson Trail. I propose to take Hidden Valley to the end at the waterfall. The route back may be up for discussion. We can either go back the way we came or find another route out of there. There's plenty to explore in there that I missed last time!

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to make the return? Also, we could also find a return route to hit the Bluff Spring Mountain Summit on the way back to the Ely Anderson. It would switch things up and definitely be easier than bailing off the side.

I say hit BSM first and then head down to Hidden Valley. Then take the bypass route around the waterfall using the dry, crusty, old cotton rope. Don't worry, its scarier than it sounds.

I put together all the tracks for Hidden Valley, my last exit, a route to Bluff Spring Mount summit, and the west exit from the summit if this is of any use.

I'll be coming in from Central Phoenix. RachelT is coming as well, though, she hasn't committed on HAZ. I expect I'll meet up with her in Tempe on the way. I'll talk to her this evening and find out if we want to carpool.
