The trail is open, but it's going to be plenty warm this time of year...

Re: fossile springs trail from the top
The 4X road down Deadman Mesa is still open as of last Tuesday. Ended up riding my mountain bike down the 8 miles, then hike-a-biked back up the rocky road. I had a trail cam set up down there that worked for 11 months; tons of pics of elk, deer, coyotes, and even a healthy herd of bighorn sheep...had no idea sheep were up there. The temps were not so bad, in the low 90s.

Very cool about the camera and the Bighorns. My brother-in-law has several cams set up in Washington State. The pictures are awesome and they now have "pet" names for all of the bears in the area....

Just there 2 weekends ago. Top trail is definitely open.
This is my gym. I have to travel down a bumpy road to get there. There are no treadmillls, no machines, and no personal trainers. I walk..I run..I breathe the fresh air. I can go any time I want, as much as I want and there is no membership fee.
