Up only this time. Catalina SP to MT Lemmon

Reckon it's my favorite in state hike. So, provided I knock out Harvard in a couple of weeks, I plan to head on down and take this in again. Unlike in May, I have no intention of doing the entire 25 mile 8400' enchilada. If nothing else, my feet won't take it until they toughen up again. So, it's a shuttle then, and I need at least one partner willing to set that up on the Friday before the Saturday hike. A pass is no longer required (FYI). I think the 6th is a date I can commit to, if not, then the next weekend will be it.

As this is up only, the pace can be rather relaxed and we should be able to enjoy the hike, the abundant water post summer rains, the expected early fall weather. Probably too early for color on top, but that isn't why you do this hike.

I also want to take off and hike MT Harvard around the 16th, or 22nd, if anyone is interested in that. Dates are yet undetermined.

It would probably be a pain in the neck to try to hitch down. If you had enough cash you might be able to get someone to bring you back around to Catalina State Park--I'm talking about taking a chance, asking random people who are up there when you get up there. Are you going up Romero, Sutherland, or?? Wish I could join you, but I'll be on the river. Plus, I haven't been hiking much this year.

This is still on for this weekend, unless Jeff cancels, or we move it to Sunday, or postpone it for a while, but this could be the last major hike in state that I do as an Arizona Resident.
