Praying Hands to Massacre Falls?
As the crow flies, Praying Hands is about 1 mile from Massacre Falls. From the Hands, I've seen a couple trails heading in the direction of the Falls, but do either of these trails actually hook up with the Falls trail?
This is my gym. I have to travel down a bumpy road to get there. There are no treadmillls, no machines, and no personal trainers. I walk..I run..I breathe the fresh air. I can go any time I want, as much as I want and there is no membership fee.

There is not an official trail to join the two. I've been on a use trail or two. Usually end up going cross country. It's not difficult. Generally 0.4mi at most between the trails. http://hikearizona.com/map.php?QX=2177 I did get into a cholla mess on one outing before I learned to respect the cholla.

Please tell me you learned to respect the cholla on or about November 20, 1996?joe bartels wrote:I did get into a cholla mess on one outing before I learned to respect the cholla.

I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

the trails from Praying Hands take you out past some other neat rock formations and then you can drop down to where the old Massacre Falls trail. Its cairned and clear most of the way and then get a bit rougher the closer you get to Massacre Falls. Its a cool area to explore.

@Rick Vincent
I hiked that area last season and had a blast. There's little signs of use up there so you have the area to yourself. Some trails are cairned as mentioned in my log;

I intend to return and hike the trail as it goes higher from the "horseshoe falls". I think this may be an alternate route to the 5024 peak.

On every trip into the Superstitions, I find another Gold Mine. Today the mine was filled with Memories. I can not wait for the next trip.
