Reavis Ranch during the monsoon
Has anyone here ever done an overnighter to Reavis Ranch during monsoon season? I know that its still unbearably hot but its gotta be kinda cool to be there during a good thunderstorm. Say starting out late in the afternoon. And will there be any amount of filterable water available in the creek? Of course that all depends if we get a monsoon season with rain.

Several years ago I hiked in to Reavis at night under a full moon during early August I think. The moonlight was unbelievable the whole trip in. We got started about 8:30 pm, from the Trail 109 side. Even at that time of year, the temps were pretty moderate. Although it was August and the monsoon had already started that year, we didn't get any rain or wind. I'd like to experience that too sometime... maybe this summer. Hmmmm.

HAHA Just skimming through some past threads. And I think it would be absolutely gorgeous at the ranch in the middle of a storm

Re: Reavis Ranch during the monsoon
I'm hoping to do some wet hikes this year. As the time gets closer, I'll check for posts here or you could PM me. Even an early summer rain would be fun too. I could watch a storm/weather for hours, better than a good movie for me!! The ONE thing I miss since moving from the midwest is the variety of weather.
