You have met someone who has just moved to Arizona. They have camped before but have minimal hiking experience. They have agreed to let you be their Arizona Guide and in true HAZ recruiter fashion, you would like to make sure they have an awesome time. You will be planning a two night hiking trip in mid June. From the choices given, where would you take them to show off the beauty of Arizona?

I'd have to say West Clear Creek. There's more to cover than possible in two days and you'll want to go back for more. The scenery changes dramatically from end to end with many unexpected pleasures along the way. It's also cooler than the other two choices which would be a consideration for me in the summer. There are not as many people there as the other places either. Yep, I'd have to say West Clear Creek.

In response to CindyC's reply: I am currently in between jobs so I will be out there from June 15th - July...whenever I feel like driving home...
My dad lives in cave creek and I have a buddy who just moved to fountain hills. Hopefully I will be out there for good in a year. I wont tolerate more than one more winter in Chicago! I just love the outdoors too much. I appreciate your input (and everybody elses)regarding west clear creek and the other trails, but i'm still kinda torn on what trail to hike/camp while i'm out there! Will West Clear creek be too Hot to camp and hike? Should I consider inner basin or another trail more up north? HELLLP! My girlfriend and I hiked west fork in December. This trip i'm taking her to the Grand Canyon to do a day hike, camp up top somewhere, and then we wanted to backpack a trail (we were thinking around sedona, because we loved West fork so much, but it really doesn't matter where we hike/camp. All my girlfriend knows of Arizona, thus far, is the valley and Sedona areas, so I wouldn't mind changing the channel a little either. (flag,payson...ect) Personally, all that matters to me is finding a beautiful trail , preferably not very populated, following a creek would be ideal (or ending at a creek), where we could hike, set up camp and explore. Anyway, thanks for your input, you have been very informative! I cant wait to live in Arizona so I can start knocking out every trail one by one!!!!!
Take it easy Cindy!
