Looking for interconnecting trail maps
Hello all! I have been out of commission for the past few years with foot injuries and recovery. Just getting back to my beloved hiking finally! I am trying to locate the linked maps / area maps that used to be available. I remember if I would do a search for a hike, other hikes in the area would populate, with how they were interconnected. They were color coded on the map and there would be a corresponding list to the left with trail stats like length and elevation gain. You could do a search for a specific area like Sedona and click on an actual map, then zoom in and find all the interconnecting trails in that area that were color coded. I am not the most technologically savvy so it might be right in front of my eyes and I am missing how to access this. Please help!! Thanks in advance.

Re: Looking for interconnecting trail maps
Hey welcome back!
Top of this page...
Plan > Map > Zoom to area > Options* > Find in View > Hikes
* on desktop you can also right mouse click over the map for the Options menu. Only works if over the map and not hovering a Google Place Name (ie: Cities, businesses, etc )

@joebartels
Thanks Joe!! I looked in the "Find in View" section area and also found "official posted routes" which actually outlines the trails by color code. That is just what I was looking for!!
Perfect and thanks so much!!

Re: Looking for interconnecting trail maps
Joe I also use and really like that feature to find hikes or routes in a selected area. But just this weekend I was looking for the old summary maps with trails I remember seeing (e.g. Superstitions, SoMo, etc)...but I couldn't find them. Obsolete or am I not looking in the right place?
