At least it helps separate a hike from a stair machine. Piestewa will be off limits to folks in these shoes since it's actually 60% concrete steps.
I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

I don't have these new ones but I have like 5 pairs of the discontinued Tor's the Ultra Hi's. They are very comfortable and really impressively sticky on slickrock. I've been wearing them on all my hikes for about a year or so now.

When they first came out I wore them and they greatly reduced the pain/discomfort in my knees....no question. The replacement model a few years later had a smaller toe box so I had to leave the brand. Before I did I shopped online and bought 2 pair of the old model.
