Hi, does anyone have recommendations for campsite locations near the mouth of, or within Hell Hole Canyon?
Thanks.

There's a popular camping area just a couple hundred yards up Aravaipa Creek from the Hells Hole confluence. In the event that area is occupied (though there's probably room for every permit holder in the canyon!) about a quarter mile farther upstream you will find another great option on the opposite side of the creek.
I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

Agree with Chum. There is one site in Deer Creek about a half mile before hell hole I can think of as well but it's fairly small (it's also a fair bit colder in the canyon) and views are better outside of the canyon/you can hammock if that's your thing.

I would not recommend within Hell Hole Canyon (Deer Creek). There are few to none, safe escape areas should floods occur. Sheer cliffs of a hundred feet.morg wrote:within Hell Hole Canyon
