Dog Boots
Any tips or experience with dog boots? MyRudy is on the IL ( the new socially correct DL) due to raw pads. I am looking for brand or use recommendations.

Re: Dog Boots
Can't give advise on boots, but I can't say enough good about this stuff for healing paws up. Tried several boots that had great customer reviews, but never did find any that were pet approved.

@Mountain_Rat
Thanks. Is it greasy (will it get on the furniture)? Dog is family and he's on everything.

@Pivo
It's a thicker texture of Corn Huskers Lotion, so not overly greasy. I would put it on the cat or dog, rub it in, wipe it off then put on the boots. The boots would always come off, but seemed to have absorbed any residual within 5 or 10 minutes. In conjunction with boots, it shouldn't be getting on the furniture, but that does depend on if you can keep the boots on for any length of time.
Bottom line, the pup will love it on raw or cracked paws.

Your dog is not on the "down low" it is on the "ignore list?" You really think everybody knows what all these acronyms mean? Makes zero sense.

These are common baseball terms. DL= Disabled List IL = Injured List. MLB (Major League Baseball) determined that 'Disabled List' was no longer acceptable.

Well okay that makes more sense. I don't watch baseball very much. I sort of like it, when I see it, but I don't follow sports at all.

Re: Dog Boots
It's a shame that the pads got raw. Usually when that happens, their feet are more susceptible to more occurrences. They just don't seem to be able to toughen them up quite the same again. I hope you find some good boots to help.

We headed up to the mountains yesterday and he was fine on the soft damp trails. If the boots and the recommended lotion doesn't help he will need to ease up on the daily fitness hikes.
