DesertUSA is making available their Wildflower Guide for use on video ipods
http://www.desertusa.com/wildflo/FieldG ... guide.html
Wildflower Field Guide

Welcome to DesertUSA Magazine's Wildflower Field Guide. This guide is designed to help you identify desert wildflowers by color, scientific name, region and common name. Click on the color for further information. Some of the pictures are sized to work on the video IPod and similar devices. With your video IPod you will easily be able to identify wildflowers in the desert.

Click here to download the White Wildflowers, we will have more colors soon.
New species will be added to this guide on a regular basis.
I foresee a day when this will be integrated into your camera so that as soon as you take the photo it searches the database and tells you what you see. :kf:

That's a big possibility!

But forget the ipod, a good cell phone today can do everything an ipod can do and make calls and connect to the internet. Plus for $3-4 per month you can beat it to death and get a new one free no questions asked.

Maybe they'll get some really good cameras integrated too, and a flip out wide screen :)
Hike Arizona it ROCKS!
