I am visiting Arizona last week of May.
Looking for a couple 1 or 2 night backpack trips. I don't mind something challenging, but worth the effort. Looking for an area where I can find water. I will be going to Aravaipa for 3 days, then meeting my stepdaughter for another 5 days. Have been studying Cherry Creek (Devils Chasm) area, Ash Creek/Frye Canyon areas. Don't mind tough trails (nothing with technical rope climbing - at least not yet). Have GPS. Would appreciate any advice offered.
May last year, spent 3 days in Aravaipa, did the Big Loop day hike in Chiricahua monument. Spent time in Huachucas and Mule Mountains

Thanks Jaybird! Great recommendations. Paria Canyon looks awesome. Hell's gate looks good and is close to some other areas I am thinking about. I'll be posting my my May trip photos in early June and hope that I'll have some things of interest to share on HAZ (great site). don
