There's hikes in the vicinity

1) Go to http://hikearizona.com/location_g.php?L ... 21&Z=9&M=3
2) Right click over the map, then click the Image

Hope you find what you need.

By the way, all capitals is the equivalence of yelling at another on the internet.

That is a BLM area, the office in Kingman would be another information resource.

Golden Valley (if we're thinking of the same place) has quite a bit of housing.

I've spent some time in Golden Valley... Located between Kingman and Bullhead, it's not as remote as you might imagine. There are quite a few houses interspersed throughout the area (nothing compared to Phoenix, Tucson, etc.). The surrounding hills have a lot of jeep trails so hiking and riding activities can be varied and interesting. For specifics, I'd go with Sredfield's suggestion and check with the BLM office in Kingman.

One personal observation I couldn't help but make was the seemingly high concentration of "tweekers" in the valley. It tempered my decision a couple of times as to where I went... Didn't want to stumble on a lab out in the hills.
