I plan on hiking Browns Canyon, 11.5 miles south-to-north, through the Harquhala Mountains, from Eagle Pass Rd to Hwy 60, on Thursday, 2/28, starting at 0800, across from the mine dump ( 33.799963 , -113.189076 ), ending at the power sub-station ( 33.906598 , -113.285914 ) west of Aguila. AEG will be negligible (maybe 1000). Most of it will be on jeep trail, but there will be 3 miles cross country, half of that in a wash. So, not bad. There will be a dam, a spring and several prospects. Expect to finish about 1400. Looking for a few folks to make it a shuttle hike.
Other than Harquhala Peak, and Eagle Eye Peak/Mountain, the Harquhalas have no descriptions or routes, so this will be a first. (At least that gets posted here ... ;) )

It depends on how my ankle feels. I can let you know for sure on the 26th.
Also, I promise I won't look for snakes.

I'm not going to be able to join you for this one Preston, sorry. Have a good time though and I look forward to hearing lots of details and your pics.
