Missing hiker, Sierra Anchas
Payson Roundup reporting missing hiker near Board Tree Saddle. It appears the hiker left mid-month and recently reported missing by a relative. His vehicle was found in the area.

Re: Missing hiker, Sierra Anchas
Is there any more information on this missing person. With the rain storms coming lets hope he has been found safe and sound.
A man's body may grow old, but inside his spirit can still be as young and restless as ever.

Re: Missing hiker, Sierra Anchas
The search for the missing hiker, Paul Tomasso, was continuing on March 3. ( dead link removed ) I'll be in that area over the next 4 days doing some off trail searching for Indian Ruins, mining history, etc. Maybe this guy was following the same "clues" that led me to this area. I'll be keeping an eye out for him.

Here is a lot of good information on the search effort. Still no sign of him, we had 9 people out again today searching.:

Re: Missing hiker, Sierra Anchas
I think a hiker went missing about 10 years ago in the same area and another one from the Parker Creek Trail. Thank you for posting and for volunteering with TRSAR.

Re: Missing hiker, Sierra Anchas
They have canvassed the area pretty well with flyers showing the last picture of hiker, who to contact etc...Every trail head I went to the entire length of 288 and FR 203 had a poster, I was going to take a picture, but felt it tacky...read the report, sadly it sounds like the 12 day delay in time from missing to search probably sealed the fate of this potential search and rescue..
