Fauna--Condors

Over spring break I took my daughter and her roommate to the Canyon for a day. We were at Trails Overlook just west of the main development taking in the scenery, while I impressed them with tales of my adventures along the vibram superhighway. We noticed the ravens circling overhead, and began discussing the Condors. Soon a pair were right above us. Kaity's roommate had her camera and snapped a couple shots. I uploaded them, if I knew how to post them here I would, but maybe they will be posted wherever. Not exceptional photography, but some neat snap shots.

Love the pictures. Sally and I saw numerous young birds on our way down South kaibab a couple of weeks ago. We were resting on the point just above the redwall and 7 or 8 birds kept coming by us so close you could read the numbers on their wing tags. We mentioned this to Skors (sp?) when we were in the BA campground and he said " that's the pack mule that backed off the trail a couple of days ago". A little free lunch there.

Great shot of #23. Did you take it with a small "hiking camera" or a regular big ol' tourist camera?
