Recommend Backpacking Trip with Children Rim Area

Post by HotTimeOldTimer »

Looking for a 25 or 50 mile backpacking trip somewhere near the Rim.

A 25 loop would be ideal.

Will have a 7yo with recent ankle surgery so it must be easy-flat. Water and wildlife would be great, need a break from the valley. Thanks all

As long as you're not looking to do this right now, check out the Cabin Loop.

Agreed, but no 25+ mile sections that are flat (elevation +/- can be substantial).

Wow...I've been wanting to do that loop but had completely forgotten.

Thank you. The right time and place! ;)

None of these fit your 25-50 mile requirement, but there's a list of some of Arizona's popular backpacking options here:
