Habitat
Summer resident in Alaska, Canada, stretching south into the lower Western States and Upper Northeastern States. Summers in most of Northern AZ. Winters in the Lower Half of the U.S., into Mexico, and along both the Pacific and Atlantic Coastlines. Full time Resident in a few spotty areas along the Coasts, and in the Southwest, including the Southeastern Quarter of AZ.
Found in Thickets, Mixed Woods, and in both Conifer and Deciduous Woodlands.

Description
In the Thrush Family, it is smaller than a Robin. Brown above, with Brown, coarse spotting, on Throat and Breast. Has a sharply contrasting Rust colored Tail that it flicks frequently.
