Description: Cylindrical long and erect stems with VERY long gold and white pointed spines. White spines are typically longer than the gold spines and almost appear "hair-like". The Apache Hedgehog cactus is typically rather gold or brown in overall appearance due to the gold spines.
Encounterability: Typically rare / Often-found in the Superstitions Mountains and surrounding area.
