Near the high point of the ridge South of Hughes, I found this old barbed wire fence. There was a low spot where I could step over. I would imagine this might be still used to keep cattle from getting too far away. I saw evidence of cattle all over this ridgeline and suspect they get up this high on the warmer days. Note: From here, I'm still 1,000 feet away from the Mt Hughes summit.
