My friend of 45 years admiring the moss as we take Moe for a walk. She had an accident, falling on some stairs at work. Needless to say, she was in a great deal of pain. I felt so bad for her; especially since she had to cancel her 70th birthday plans in NYC with her son. I've known Maria since, as college graduates, we were cocktail waitresses at the Biltmore Hotel in 1981.
