There was a wonderful amount of interpretive stuff for the whole day. I think it was great that they got a picture of Flag Day 1910. Shoshone Falls stretch 900 feet wide and are among the largest natural waterfalls in the United States.
Idaho Power owns and operates 17 hydroelectric plants on the Snake River and its tributaries.
Built in 1907, Shoshone Falls was the first power plant in Idaho’s Magic Valley.

I think this is very interesting about the springs: The immense Snake River Aquifer is formed in the region's porous volcanic rock and recharged each year by melting snow in the surrounding mountains. Because the Shoshone Falls canyon lies lower in elevation than the surrounding terrain, groundwater is forced to the surface via large springs in the canyon walls. Despite the almost total diversion of the river upstream from Milner Dam, these springs can provide up to 3,000 cu ft/s (85 m3/s) of water to the falls.
