Lots of people having fun down there.

Snake River Canyon is a canyon formed by the Snake River in the Magic Valley region of southern Idaho, forming part of the boundary between Twin Falls County to the south and Jerome County to the north. The canyon ranges up to 500 feet deep and 0.25 miles wide, and runs for just over 50 miles.

Snake River Plain Geology
The Snake River flows through one of the greatest volcanic plains in the world. This 400-mile-long crescent-shaped plateau extends from southwestern Idaho, east to the Idaho-Wyoming border. In cross section, it is a depression filled with layers of rock over 5,000 feet thick.
