PB cabin history posted inside the cabin. I don't remember seeing this before. Interesting side note regarding the signature name, Haught. Alfred Haught was one of the names on many of the uranium prospects located in upper Cherry Creek in 1954. I suspect the early ranchers were out there prospecting when they weren't herding cattle. The Ellison name (Ellison Ranch below Devil's Chasm) appears on many of the claims stacked in the canyon near that ranch. I remember back in the 1950s a uranium fever had gripped the west. My father enlisted a friend with a geiger counter to search for uranium deposits on our ranch range land in the hills of eastern Washington.
