393.8 French Broad Overlook, Elevation 2100'. The French Broad River is one of the few north-flowing rivers in the United States. I was right next to it on my hike of the Biltmore Estate's Lagoon near Asheville. It flows 218 miles. It drains large portions of the Pisgah National Forest and the Cherokee National Forest.
