This was one of my favorite pictures of the day at Cherry Cove Overlook, the northwest side across from the Overlook parking area. I think that is a rhododendron below this tree on left. This overlook is either part of or near the MST (Mountains to See Trail). The cut you see is for the East Pigeon Fork River.
