The Goose Bill Butte in shade, called just Goosebill here. It's a major landmark in this flat country, known as Goose Bill country to the locals. I never did get the goosebill part. My Grandfather who homesteaded here was involved with the Goosebill Oil and Gas Company via the Goosebill Landowners in the 1920s

Cousin Dallas lives on Goosebill Rd. The roads weren't named out here for years. It was only when the Fed Ex and UPS deliveries started and google maps that forced the naming.
