Cousin Brad and his girlfriend have put in quite the garden again this year. However, it didn't do as well as last year's garden. My mom used to plant that garden but initially, it didn't do too well as she was a California girl and the growing conditions were quite different here. I played many hours around this area in both pictures.

Lots of grain storage bins too. I'll have to look at our photos from the mid 60s as I don't think we had that many (and you can't see them all in this photo).

The bottom photo with the smaller building was our attempt at a chicken coup but that was never my dad's forte nor my mom's. In fact, at the north Havre place (15 miles from the Canadian border), the chickens kept freezing to death (it was really cold in the 1960s) so they threw in the towel.

The other building on the left was an old barn.
