They think there was a kiva there. Palatki means “red house.” There are two sets of buildings at Palatki.
Archeologists believe it was one of their largest and most important communities.
Archeologists believe two rooms each housed a single family with an estimated 60 to 80 people living here at one time.

UL is the rock roof above the Ruins. It had such interesting texture.
LL you can see the Clan Shield.
UR the main Ruins which were much taller back in the day. The east alcove also has five time-worn rooms, three of which had second stories.
LL is the west alcove that is closed. The west alcove, closed to help preserve the fragile remains, consists of around five tumbled rooms, including what may have been a ceremonial room known as a kiva.
