Jumping ahead again, I had left my backpack to try to find water. My GPS showed a Spring close by. It was not marked, as Bear or Chilson Spring. This was a mud hole. Still, I was able to use a ziplock bag to collect water and filter that. Update: Days later after my return and I am still flushing dirt out of my filters!
