Albaricoque Chabacano has beautiful blooms.
APRICOT, CHABACANO, ALBARICOQUE (Prunus armenica). Apricots were brought from the
Mediterranean to the Rio Grande in the 1630s, and to the Hopi Mesas and Sonoran missions not long after that. They are hard, long-lived trees that produce many seedling apricot varieties that go unnamed. Mormon seedling varieties have proliferated around many Arizona homesteads and ranch houses.
