We hiked steeply down to Lake Francis (using the spelling from topo) for our lunch break. (Named for the wife of a member of the Northern Boundary Survey.) This falls is coming from Dixon Glacier (Named for United States Senator Joseph M. Dixon, of Montana, who supported the passage of the bill creating Glacier National Park.) which is out of sight and you never do see on this hike. I understand there is pretty good fishing here.
